About Sunrise Backcountry Resale

Some gear was built to last a lifetime. We think it should get one.

Sunrise Backcountry Resale is a Colorado-based resale shop focused on mountain outdoor heritage: technical clothing and everyday layers from the brands that built the backcountry. Patagonia, The North Face, Burton, Moonstone, and the pieces that defined an era of outdoor gear.

We hunt for the jackets, fleece, base layers and workwear that were made when durability came first. Some are true archive pieces: Made in USA Synchilla, early Capilene, 90s snowboard graphics. Others are the everyday staples you'll reach for every morning. All of it was built to be worn, not hung on a wall.

How we do it

Every item is cleaned, inspected and measured flat by hand before it's listed. We photograph the real piece, tags and flaws included, so what you see is what shows up at your door.

Why resale

Buying secondhand keeps good gear in use and out of landfills. It's also the only way to find pieces that haven't been made in decades.
