Sunrise Backcountry Resale – Return Policy

At Sunrise Backcountry Resale, we take pride in offering carefully curated pre-owned outdoor apparel and gear. Every item is individually inspected, cleaned, photographed, measured, and described as accurately as possible before being offered for sale.

Because our inventory consists primarily of pre-owned, vintage, and occasionally distressed items, normal signs of age and wear should be expected. We make every effort to document each item's condition so you know exactly what you're purchasing.

Return Window

We accept returns within 14 days of the delivery date on eligible items.

Eligible Returns

Returns are accepted only for reasonable circumstances, including:

  • The item does not fit as expected after reviewing the provided measurements.
  • The item arrives significantly different from its description or photographs.
  • An incorrect item was shipped.
  • A significant flaw was overlooked in the listing.

Returns requested because of normal wear, vintage characteristics, distressing, color variation between screens, or conditions that were clearly shown in the listing or photographs may not qualify for a refund.

Return Authorization Required

Before returning any item, you must contact Sunrise Backcountry Resale within the 14-day return window to request return authorization.

Please email us at sunrisebackcountryresale@gmail.com and include:

  • Your order number
  • The item you wish to return
  • The reason for the return
  • Photos if the return involves damage or an item not as described

Once your request has been reviewed, we'll provide return instructions if the return is approved.

Items returned without prior authorization may be refused or returned to the sender and may not be eligible for a refund.

Return Requirements

To qualify for a return:

  • The item must be returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received.
  • The item must be free of new damage, stains, odors, pet hair, smoke odors, or excessive wear.
  • The item will be inspected upon arrival before a refund is approved.

Return Shipping

Unless the return is the result of our error, the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Sunrise Backcountry Resale is not responsible for items that are lost, delayed, or damaged while being shipped back to us. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for higher-value items.

Refunds

Once the returned item has been received, inspected, and approved, any eligible refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except when the return is the result of our error or the item was significantly different from its description.
